It isn’t green anymore, but still needs work. But I needed to clean the filter ahead of the storm that is rolling in. It is supposed to rain hard, and then I will be traveling for work. Santa Barbara Wednesday night, Monterey Thursday night.
The filter was nasty.
Pumpkin was not impressed with my efforts.
It has been cold the last couple of nights, but the Japanese Maples have decided that it is spring. They buzz when you walk by from all the bees.
Pumpkin is using the dog door regularly now, so I know where she will be when the rain starts.

As a pool owner, is it worth the upkeep and maintenance? It sounds like you do all of it yourself?

You’re going to be in Santa Barbara Wednesday? You should come “audit” my contracts class in Ventura. Or come to Camarillo for lunch.

As a former pool cleaner, I can shed some light on this. You must be willing to commit to testing the water a couple of times a week and making adjustments as necessary , half an hour to clean it at least once a week, cover it when the leaves are falling (and other times when vegetation can get blown into it), and don’t overdo the suntan oil and sunscreen. The people who don’t do this end up with pools that are a mess which can cost lots of money to maintain.
